Fire Chief

Jeremy A. Pell

Fire Chief Jeremy A. Pell began his fire service career with the White River Township Fire Department in 1989 and advanced through the ranks to Division Chief. He also served with the City of Noblesville Fire Department and Warren Township Fire Department, where he later became Division Chief of Administration. In September 2007, Chief Pell returned to White River Township to serve as Fire Chief.

With more than three decades of experience, Chief Pell brings extensive operational and administrative expertise, including fire and EMS operations, personnel management, and multi-million-dollar budget oversight. He holds numerous NFPA certifications, is an Indiana EMT, and has earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and an Associate’s Degree in Fire Science.

Beyond the Department, Chief Pell serves as a Johnson County Sheriff’s Reserve Deputy, Second Vice President of the Indiana Fire Chiefs’ Association, an instructor for the Indiana Department of Homeland Security, and a board member for the Johnson County 911 Advisory Board and United Way of Johnson County. He also serves as Co-Director of Indiana K-9 Search & Recovery and is an experienced K-9 trainer. His current K-9 partner, Rosie, is triple-certified in land, water, and human remains search.

Administrative Assistants

Danielle Kachele

Danielle Kachele has served as the Administrative Assistant to Fire Chief Jeremy A. Pell since February 2020. She provides essential administrative and operational support, assists with departmental communications, and helps coordinate daily logistics to ensure efficient department operations.

She plays a key role in organizing community outreach events such as Trunk or Treat, Meet the Bunny, the Santa Parade, and Cookies with Santa. Known for her reliability, organization, and attention to detail, she is a valued resource for both staff and leadership.

Outside of work, Danielle enjoys spending time with her husband and two sons, traveling, enjoying the outdoors, and supporting her children’s activities.

Tammy Miller

Tammy Miller joined the White River Township Fire Department as an Administrative Assistant in January 2022 after relocating from Phoenix, Arizona. Originally from Illinois, she brings decades of experience in accounting and human resources, having worked in those fields since 1987.

Tammy values the opportunity to support frontline personnel who serve the community each day and appreciates the welcoming, team-oriented culture of the Department.

Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with her daughter, her two dogs, and nearby family.

Tammy Christie

Tammy Christie joined the White River Township Fire Department in September 2019 and supports a wide range of daily administrative functions within the Administrative Office.

Tammy retired from Indianapolis Power & Light after 29 years of service and brings extensive experience as both a Purchasing Agent and Administrative Assistant.
