Jeff Smith

     Captain Jeff Smith started with the White River Township Fire Department as a cadet in 1994, were he obtained the minimum education to become a firefighter.  In the summer of 1996 he was promoted to the position of a part-time firefighter and enrolled into the Ivy Tech State College Fire Science program. 
            In 1998 Jeff was promoted to the position of Lieutenant of the Reserve Division.  He held this rank until he took a career firefighter position with the Fishers Fire Department in May of 2000.  Still maintaining part-time status with White River he continued to work, train and gather more experience for both departments.  He said goodbye to Fishers in April of 2003, when he accepted a career Lieutenant position at White River as a company officer.

           Today, Jeff continues to serve as a company officer but also oversees the department's building maintenance program.  He mainly serves as a resource to all of the Station Captains providing technical expertise where needed, however he may perform some projects himself, depending on the task.  Send an e-mail to Jeff by clicking HERE.
