Fire Prevention Week is October 9th - 15th

The White River Township Fire Department is gearing up for Fire Prevention Week.  Even though Fire Prevention Week is coming up, we want to remind you that Fire Prevention takes place all year long.  This week though, we take extra time to educate the children and parents in our schools on Fire Prevention and the dangers of playing with fire.  We also want to make sure that everyone has a working smoke detector and that the batteries are good by testing it this week.  Remember to change your smoke detector batteries twice a year; we do this when you change your clocks.  "Change the time, Change the batteries."

Craig Zollars, our Life Safety Officer will be heading up this event as it rapidly approaches.  Look below to see links to several projects you and your children can do at home anytime especially during Fire Prevention Week.  If you or your group would like to have a tour of any of our Fire Stations during this upcoming week or anytime, please contact our Fire Headquarters at 317-888-8337.  Please check back often to see pictures of Fire Prevention Week.  For more information about Fire Prevention Week, you can navigate to Sparky.org or contact the fire department anytime.
