Firefighters respond to Apartment Fire

       Firefighters were called to the scene of an apartment fire at 1132 Londonerry Lane in Greenwood late Friday night. Units from Greenwood and White River Township Fire Departments responded to the call around 10 PM. Upon arrival, firefighters found heavy smoke and fire coming from one of the apartment units. All occupants of the building were safely evacuated as firefighters quickly brought the first floor blaze under control. The apartments on the upper two floors were checked for any fire extension. The cause of the blaze is still under investigation. No injuries were reported.
