Student injured in vehicle accident

       A Center Grove High School Student was injured in an early morning accident on Stones Crossing Road. Firefighters were dispatched to the accident at 05:38. An extrication response was sent due to the fact that 911 calls advised that the vehicle involved was inverted. When firefighters arrived on scene they found a single vehicle accident in which the vehicle had come to rest on its roof in some trees. The vehicle was stabilized to prevent further movement and a water hoseline was placed near the vehicle in case of a fire or explosion. The student was the only occupant of the vehicle. The occupant was removed from the vehicle through a rear window and transported to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis for further evaluation and treatment.
