Fire departments train together

       Firefighters from several agencies participated in live fire training exercises each day this week at a house on Whiteland Road in northwest Johnson County.  The use of the house was donated to the Bargersville Fire Department with the intent that the structure would be completely burned down to make way for a new home site.  Some of the fire departments represented at the training site were Bargersville, White River Township, Greenwood, and Morgantown.  Multiple evolutions were conducted over several days that included fire attack, ventilation, search and rescue, and other fireground operations.  The simulations provided a safe and instructional atmosphere for new and veteran firefighters alike in a setting that is typically very difficult to achieve.
