Dog distracts motorist before crash
A
four-legged distraction is being blamed for a four-vehicle crash in the Center
Grove area Thursday afternoon. Timothy P. Healy, 29, Indianapolis, told
police he was driving on Morgantown Road near Bancroft Lane when a dog inside
the cab of his truck jumped in front of him and he could not see the road.
He struck a car driven by Stacy A. Cummings,
17, Greenwood, who was slowing to make a left turn at the intersection,
according to a police report. The impact pushed Cummings' car into a sport
utility vehicle driven by Tracie L. McClarney, 44, Greenwood, which was
traveling the opposite direction through the intersection.
