An afternoon picnic

       About sixty firefighters and their families attended a joint picnic between the Greenwood and White River Township Fire Departments earlier today.  The picnic, held at the West Side Park in Greenwood, was organized by the Johnson County Firefighters Union Local 4252 in an effort for members from both departments to get to know one another better.  "We set it up as a meet and greet with some food thrown in", said Lieutenant Joe Green of the White River Township Fire Department.  "The camaraderie and professional working relationship between the two agencies is incredible", commented another firefighter in attendance.  The Union leadership hopes to make the picnic an annual event.
