Officials scramble to move festival
Due to an unforeseen
building project taking place at the Pleasant Grove Elementary School, officials
at the White River Township Fire Department are scrambling to relocate this
year's Strawberry Festival.
Fortunately, the school system granted permission to use the Center Grove Middle
School North grounds which are immediately to the south of the previous
location. "We're hoping a last minute media blitz and a good sight-line
from the old site to the new site will be enough to direct patrons to the
correct location", said Craig Zollars, Public Information Officer for the fire
department. "There will also be additional signage at the old location
during the two-day event", he added. The
Center Grove Trails
"Blaze the Trail" 5K Run/Walk will not be affected, however participants will
need to park at the Middle School site. For those planning to attend this
year's festival, please enter the south entrance off of Morgantown Road at the
top of the hill. Signs will direct patrons to parking. For a full
