Art students provide bird houses
Students from
Pleasant Grove Elementary School earlier this week donated three bird houses to
the firefighters in White River Township. The school's Art Club students
recently painted the bird houses in fire department colors, personalized them,
and then donated them to the department. Each of the three White River
stations received one of the houses to be mounted on their respective
properties. Tree swallows have already been seen eyeing one of the houses,
the department reported. Firefighters at all three stations were grateful
for the kind gift from the students. In one of the photos below are
firefighter Tyler Derringer and Firefighter Joel Heavner after recently
installing a bird house at Station 51.
