Firefighters rapidly extinguish blaze

       White River Township firefighters responded to a building fire just after 3:30 p.m. this afternoon in the 600 block of of Library Boulevard in northwest Johnson County.  Firefighters arrived to a two-story brick office building with smoke down to waist level on the second floor.  The building's occupants had already exited the building by the time firefighters arrived.  The fire was located in a mechanical room on the second floor and quickly contained.  Damage was confined predominately to the second floor and consisted primarily of smoke damage.  Firefighters were on the scene for about two hours making sure no extension of fire occurred, cleaning up debris, and assisting investigators.  No damage estimate was available at press time.
