Bids to be accepted for property
Beginning on
February 27, 2008, the White River Township Fire Protection District will begin
accepting sealed bids for the purchase of the property formerly known as Station
51. The property is located at 1086 S. Runyon Road and consists of a
two-story fire station on approximately 1/2 acre of ground. More

AN ADDITIONAL NOTICE OF DISPOSAL OF REAL PROPERTY
An Additional Notice is hereby given that the White River Township Fire Protection District (the “District”) of Johnson County, Indiana intends to dispose of the following described real property by accepting sealed bids for its purchase from interested parties:
1086 S. Runyan Road, Greenwood, Indiana 46143 consisting of approximately .5 acres (the “Property”).
Sealed bids for the purchase of the Property will be accepted at the Office of the District’s Fire Department Headquarters at 850 S. Mullinex Road, Greenwood, Indiana, beginning on February 27, 2008 and continuing from day to day until March 17, 2008 at 2:00 p.m., local time, at which time the bids will be opened and read aloud in public. All bids received after that time will be returned unopened. The Property may be inspected upon appointment with the Office of the Fire Chief up to the time bids are received. All requests for appointment should be directed to Fire Chief Jeremy Pell at (317) 888-8337.
All bids shall be enclosed in a sealed envelope marked “SEALED BID” on the outside addressed to the District’s Board of Trustees and addressed to or delivered to the Office of the Fire Department Headquarters at 850 S. Mullinex Road, Greenwood, Indiana 46143. Each bid should contain the amount to be bid for the Property. No additional conditions of sale or contingencies will be allowed. The Property may not be sold to an ineligible person as defined in I.C. 36-1-11-16. A bid submitted by a Trust must identify each of the following: 1) Beneficiary of the Trust, and 2) settler empowered to invoke or modify the Trust. Bids must provide for cash at closing.
All bids received will be evaluated on the basis of such factors as proposed closing date, terms and conditions of bid and any other factors deemed pertinent by the District, as determined in its sole discretion. Any sale of the Property sale shall be final and the Property shall be conveyed on an as-is basis without any indemnification, representation or warranty of kind by the District other than warranty of title. All bids must be unconditional and must remain open no less than ninety (90) days following bid opening. The District reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality, irregularity or omission in any bid or bidding procedure. Failure to follow bidding instructions may disqualify your bid.
