Truck crashes into ditch
A small box truck
slid into a drainage ditch in front of the Texas Roadhouse Restaurant earlier
this morning after the driver misjudged the turn onto Marlin Drive. The
driver of the truck was not injured and did not require any treatment at the
scene. The incident occurred just before 7 a.m. and caused the truck to
land on its side and spill fluids onto the ground. Fire department
hazardous materials team members used special equipment to control the leaking
fluids. The Indiana Department of Environmental Management was called due
to the proximity of a waterway and that several different engine fluids had
leaked from the truck. Firefighters were on the scene for about an
hour-and-a-half performing clean-up operations.
