Department holds membership reunion
All past members of
the White River Township Fire Department were invited to a membership reunion at
the department's Headquarters yesterday. Over one-hundred current and past
members were in attendance, including five of the department's original founding
members. The event was highlighted by several speeches, delivered by
current Fire Chief Jeremy Pell and Captain Kevin Skipper, as well as by the
official dedication ceremony of a new Engine that was placed in service at
Station 53. The ceremony for the new Engine included the traditional
"wetting down" as well as the first "pushing back" into the bay. Members
also shared stories and memorabilia from different eras of the department's
fifty-five year history while enjoying snacks and drinks. A synopsis of
the department's history can be viewed by clicking

event are included below. A special thanks to former member Pat McDaniel
as well as Captain Kevin Skipper for putting the day together.
