Department names new Chief
The White River Township Fire Protection District Board voted last night to extend a conditional offer of employment to Jeremy Pell, a fire service veteran from the Warren Township Fire Department, to be its next Fire Chief. The five month process to select the Chief concluded last evening during a regularly-scheduled meeting following the motion to accept the hiring committee's recommendation.
Jeremy will bring a wealth of education and experience to the department and has served in many different capacities throughout his career, including most recently as the Deputy Chief of the Warren Township Fire Department for the last four-and-half years. His experience also includes a twelve year stint at White River Township Fire Department back in the late 1980's and 1990's.
Although an
official start date has not yet been set, the offer was however accepted and is
now in processing, which could take a few more weeks.
