Accident injures four people
A single-vehicle accident on Sunday morning seriously injured four people just after 8:30 a.m. The incident occurred at the intersection of Curry Road and State Road 135 and involved a pick-up truck that appeared to had hit a utility pole at a high rate of speed. Three of the occupants were children who were rapidly removed from the vehicle and transported by ambulance to Methodist Hospital. Their conditions were unknown at the time of the incident, but did not appear life-threatening, according to paramedics at the scene. The driver, an adult female, was trapped in the vehicle for about thirty-five minutes while firefighters extricated her from the wreckage. She was transported by LifeLine Helicopter to Methodist Hospital due to her serious injuries and extended entrapment time. No word on her condition was available at press time.
