Five-vehicle accident injures three

A five-vehicle accident on State Road 135 on Sunday injured three people.  Vicki Dixon-Garrett, 58, of New Whiteland struck the rear of a vehicle driven by Mallory Milenbaugh, 16, causing three other vehicles to wreck, according to a report from the Johnson County Sheriff's Office.  Dixon-Garrett was driving north on State Road 135 north of Stones Crossing Road about 2 p.m. when she hit Milenbaugh's car. Milenbaugh's rear bumper cover and license plate were embedded into the front of Dixon-Garrett's car, the report said.

The collision pushed Milenbaugh, of Greenwood, into the southbound lanes, causing her to hit a pickup driven by Matthew Harris, 35, of Trafalgar.  Milenbaugh's car then hit a sport utility vehicle driven by Mark Robertson, 45, of Bargersville.  Harris' truck spun in front of a car driven by Lillie Collins, 69, of Greenwood, who was driving north on State Road 135. She hit the rear end of Harris' pickup.  Dixon-Garrett was treated for an injury to her arm. Milenbaugh complained of pain to her hip and upper leg.  A passenger in Milenbaugh's car, Mallory O'Mallia, 14, of Carmel, suffered a scrape to her shoulder and upper arm.  Ambulances were called for each of them, according to the report. Their conditions were not available Monday.  (Reprinted with permission from the Daily Journal)
