Station 51 construction update 12

The weather continues to hamper work at the new
fire station as persistent rains continue to soak the ground preventing the
installation of a permanent dual sump pit in the basement. Until the sump
pit is installed, work on the basement has been halted for fears of an
accidental flood should the existing pump fail. Additionally, delays
incurred with the water utility have also prevented some work from continuing.
Plumbing work has been put on hold until a permanent water supply can been
established and tested. Other work however has been continuing such as
painting, lightweight concrete floor installation, ceiling grids, bay floors,
and electrical fixtures. Some
photos of the past month's progress are displayed below.
