National speaker conducts seminar

The City of Greenwood was on center stage last evening as a nationally-renowned speaker visited area firefighters for a discussion on pride and ownership in the fire service.  The four hour event was held at the Community Church of Greenwood on Main Street in White River Township and was attended by firefighters from all over central Indiana.

Fire Chief Rick Lasky (Lewisville, Texas) was the keynote speaker who delivered his highly-desired program to a very enthusiastic crowd of firefighters, paramedics, and EMT's.  Chief Lasky travels the country performing this and other various fire service-related presentations to many different audiences ranging in experience from newly-hired firefighters to veteran officers with decades of service.

Chief Lasky was in town all week delivering other keynote speeches at the Fire Department Instructors Conference (FDIC) in downtown Indianapolis.  For more information on Chief Lasky and the Lewisville Fire Department, click HERE.  For more information on the FDIC, click HERE.
