Help free firefighter, raise funds

       A White River Township Fire Department firefighter will be locked up today as part of a Muscular Dystrophy Association fundraiser.  The event will be at 10 a.m. today at Bob Evans, 900 N. Morton Street in Franklin.  Steve Coover will be in full gear, including breathing equipment.  He will have to raise enough money to get released from a replica jail cell.  Other local firefighters and police officers will attend.  The event will kick off the annual MDA drive that firefighters across the nation take part in every year.
