Web site turns ten years-old

       With no fanfare, the fire department's web site quietly turned ten years-old this morning.   With the distinction of being one of the first fire department web sites in the country, the site has greeted thousands of visitors over the past decade.  The site has grown from just a mere presence on the world wide web to a vast resource for the community as well as a portal into the department's fifty-five year history.  The site has had three major overhauls in its ten years since the original site was placed online January 1st, 1997 and continues to grow almost daily.  Screen shots of the original site as well as just after the three major theme changes in 1999, 2002, and 2003 are included below.  See the story of the site launch by clicking HERE.

Note:  The department changed its web site URL address from wrfd.org to wrtfd.org in early 2001 to better reflect the department's business name.
