Fire Prevention Week next week

       Fire Prevention week is again among us with the focus of this year's campaign being on Preventing Cooking Fires – Watch What You Heat.   White River Township firefighters, along with other firefighters across the nation, will be teaching school children the importance of fire safety throughout the week.  Fire Prevention week is October 8^th through the 14^th this year.  The White River Township Fire Department will be hosting a Fire Station Open House beginning at 5pm and running until 8pm on Wednesday, October 11^th at Headquarters, Station 53, 850 S. Mullinix Road, Greenwood, Indiana 46143 (Corner of Smith Valley and State Road 37).
