Members enjoy annual picnic

       White River Township Fire Department held its 5th Annual Employee Appreciation Picnic at the Orchard Golf Club earlier today.  Friends, family and co-workers shared an afternoon of camaraderie, good food and games under sunny, albeit slightly windy weather conditions.  Children played mini-golf while some of the firefighters took to the driving range before a family-style pitch-in picnic.

         The idea for an employee picnic was started five years ago and has now become an annual tradition.  The picnic was organized by the Auxiliary Division of the department which is made up of wives, neighbors, and friends who assist the firefighters performing various support functions.  Some of these functions include planning social events, organizing fundraisers, and emergency incident rehabilitation.  For more information on the Auxiliary Division, including how to become a member, click HERE.
