Members help at Hoosier Burn Camp

       Members of the White River Township Fire Department assisted with an outing with the Hoosier Burn Camp at Lake Monroe on Wednesday, August 2nd.  Fifteen children from across Indiana, all burn survivors, along with chaperones, got together for a day of camping, food, and fun on the water.  Many of the children took the opportunity to experience the joy of tubing and water skiing.  Since 1997, Hoosier Burn Camp has been open to young people ages eight to eighteen years who have experienced a burn injury or have been treated in the state of Indiana requiring hospitalization.  Hoosier Burn Camp offers a life-enriching, unforgettable summer camp experience for young men and women who have experienced such injuries from burns.  You can visit the Hoosier Burn Camp website at hoosierburncamp.org.
