Honor Guard attends National training

       Members of the White River Township Fire Department Honor Guard attended the forty-hour class “Honor Guard 101” at the Elmhurst Fire Department Training Academy in Elmhurst, Illinois this past week.  The department's Honor Guard consists of ten members, and has been called upon for many functions including presenting Colors at the Indiana Pacer Home Games, area parades, and has assisted with Line-of-Duty-Death funeral details throughout the State of Indiana.  More information about the Elmhurst Fire Department Honor Guard Training program may be found by clicking HERE.  See a related December, 2006 story, “The Price of Honor", in Fire Engineering Magazine on-line by clicking HERE.
