Accident leaves one injured

A Whiteland man was injured this evening following an accident on Honey Creek Road near the Woodfield Subdivision and Curry Road.  Bradley Gontermen was traveling northbound when he lost control of his vehicle and collided with a utility pole.  The vehicle traveled up a guy wire before coming to rest on its trunk.  The victim was trapped inside his vehicle until rescue workers from the Greenwood and White River Township Fire Departments responded and extricated him.  He was transported to Methodist Hospital by Rural/Metro Ambulance for injuries sustained in the accident.  Gontermen was wearing his seatbelt and initial reports indicate his injuries were not life-threatening.  (Photo reprinted with permission from the Daily Journal)
