Accident entraps victim

The White River Township Fire Department responded to a motor vehicle accident with entrapment this morning at the intersection of Smith Valley Road and State Road 135.  Firefighters arrived at the 7 a.m. accident to find two vehicles involved including a red mini-van in which the driver was trapped. The other vehicle, a SUV, had two people injured but were not trapped.  Injuries to all victims were believed to be minor. After approximately 10 minutes, the driver of the mini-van was extricated from the vehicle and transported to Community Hospital South along with the other two victims.  No information as to the cause of the accident was available at press time.  (Story and photos submitted by Jim Engmark, Battalion Chief/PIO “C” Shift)
