Now hiring part-time firefighters

       The White River Township Fire Department in northwest Johnson County will be conducting a hiring process for part-time firefighters beginning September 19th, 2005.  Most of the selected individuals will be assigned to a 12-hour-on, 60-hour-off rotation schedule, however some will serve in a non-shift role as well filling in when available.  The department plans to hire a minimum of 10 positions over all three shifts (A-B-C) both day and night.  Shifts are 12 hours long and are either 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. or 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.  Those interested should consult the department's hiring page for eligibility and application instructions by clicking HERE or selecting "Public Info" and then "Current Hiring Information" in the blue menu bar above.
