Firefighters provide Fair coverage

       Off-duty White River Township firefighters volunteered their Friday night and Saturday to provide fire protection services at the Johnson County Fair last weekend.  During each day of the fair, a different fire department in Johnson County is asked to send a group of firefighters and equipment to provide on-site fire service coverage.  Additionally, White River provides coverage for both nights of the Demolition Derby, a long-standing tradition for the department.  Events on Saturday at the fair included a Monster Truck show, a demonstration involving a jet-powered car, and the fan favorite, the Demolition Derby.  Fortunately, for fans and firefighters alike, there were no fire-related incidents at the fair, at least on Saturday.
