A late night fire destroyed an abandoned house in the former Cricket Ridge subdivision yesterday, leaving only a skeleton of framework behind.  "The house was already fully-involved and in the process of collapsing when we first arrived", said Lieutenant Mark Williams of the first-arriving engine company.  The house was originally built as a second model home but was never occupied due problems with the subdivision.  The other home was also destroyed by fire in late 1998, which was later ruled as arson.  The cause of last night's fire is still under investigation.
