Fire department hosts Awards Banquet
The White River Township Fire Department held its annual Awards Banquet this evening at the Valle Vista Country Club in Greenwood. The event consists of a fully-catered dinner followed by an awards presentation and a year-end video screening. The awards in various categories are given to firefighters for service excellence and other areas of recognition. The highest awards, Firefighter of the Year and Officer of the Year, were awarded to Firefighter Ryan Cox and Lieutenant Joseph Settles respectively.
