Firefighters build simulator

Earlier today, crews from the “C” shift trained on the newly installed forcible entry simulator at the training facility located at Station 51.  The simulator was designed, built, and installed by several of the firefighters from the department over a several-month period.  This simulator helps train firefighters on the proper method for forcing entry into buildings and residences in emergency situations.  The training facility (modified mini-barn) was built by several firefighters as well, and is used for training almost on a daily basis.  The facility is located behind the fire station on Runyon Road.  James Engmark, Battalion Chief, C-Shift
