Two-vehicle accident traps victim

White River Township Firefighters were called to a motor vehicle accident on State Road 135 just south of Fairview Road this afternoon.  Engine 52 arrived on the scene within minutes of the call and reported a two-vehicle accident in the intersection Meridian Park Drive and State Road 135.  One of the two vehicles involved was lying on the driver's side with the driver of the vehicle still trapped inside.  Firefighters worked for approximately fifteen minutes to remove the driver of the vehicle.  The entire roof of the van had to be flapped down to allow access to the victim who was later transported to St. Francis Hospital in Beech Grove for further evaluation.  Firefighters remained on the scene to assist the towing crew in up-righting the vehicle.  No other injuries were discovered or reported.  The accident remains under investigation.
