Perfect day for golf
For the second straight year, the annual golf outing sponsored by the White River Township Professional Firefighters Union Local 4252 was a huge success. The weather was perfect as the temperature hovered around 80 degrees under a sunny sky. There were ten foursomes in this year's outing all varying in experience and skill. "You couldn't ask for a more perfect day for a round of golf", said Tony Slusher, one of the entrants as he played hole 9. Prizes were awarded for several feats such as best overall score and longest drive. There was even a chance to win a speed boat for a hole-in-one. The event began at 2pm and concluded around 6pm following 18 holes. Half of the proceeds from today's event will go to the Hoosier Burn Camp and the other half will help firefighter education throughout the next year. A special thank you to all of this year's sponsors and to all of those who helped organize the event.
