Lightning DOES strike twice

Whoever said lightning doesn't strike twice in the same spot will need to make an exception the next time that phrase is used.  In less than a month, the radio tower behind White River Township Fire Station 53 has been hit twice by lightning.  The tower was first struck on June 10th, which caused extensive damage to both the tower as well as sensitive computer and related equipment inside the station (see this story HERE).  The strike today caused damage that was limited only to the tower because of new lightning isolation equipment installed following the strike in June.  "The fiber isolation kits worked exactly as they were designed" said Don Hadley of Wireless Networking Solutions, who was making emergency repairs to the tower following the latest strike.  As of Monday afternoon, all repairs had been completed and all computer communications restored.
