Center Grove Elementary Science Day

           The White River Township Fire Department went on a journey to try and find the next Albert Einstein, Darwin or maybe even Sir Isaac Newton.  Actually, the department visited Center Grove Elementary School today and assisted the Science Club in determining the speed of an object that is dropped from an elevated platform.  Firefighters Mike Schilling and Sean Campbell took 2 water balloons, a football, a basketball, a soccer ball, a golf ball, a pillow and large inflatable ball high above the ground in Aerial 53.  Students recorded the time from which the object was let go until in hit the ground.  The water balloon dropped the fastest!  For more information about public education or public events, please contact Lt.
