Fire department meets Boomer and Slapshot

       The White River Township Fire Department provided a crew and fire truck for display at a recent fund-raising event held for Nathan's Battle, a local foundation established for the development of therapies for Late Infantile Batten Disease.  The crew handed out Halloween candy to the children and gave tours of the truck.  "Boomer," the mascot for the Indiana Pacers Basketball Team, along with "Slapshot," the mascot for the Indianapolis Ice Hockey Team, were on hand as well to great the kids who came to visit.  Greenwood Police officers and vehicles were also on display and were very popular among the children.  The weather was fantastic and everyone had a great time.  The fire department crew was on site for over three hours.  More information on Nathan's Battle can be found by clicking HERE.
