WZPL's Dave Smiley visits the fire station

       Dave Smiley from local radio station WZPL visited fire headquarters on Wednesday, March 19th.  He came out following an invitation he received while hosting two White River firefighters on his morning show last week.  Firefighter Mike Combs and Battalion Chief Joel Thacker participated in the Smiley Morning Show on WZPL during an "Ask a Professional" segment.  The segment featured people calling in and asking questions about firefighting or about being a firefighter.  A different "professional" is in each week.  Dave Smiley came and spent the day getting a taste of what it is like being a firefighter and learning about the profession.  He toured each of the fire stations and even got a ride in the Aerial bucket.
