Department makes water rescue

       A person driving along Fairview Road evidently fell asleep at the wheel causing his vehicle to leave the roadway and end up in a detention pond.  The incident occurred on Fairview Road in front of the Makena Ridge subdivision in White River Township just after dark.  White River Township rescue workers launched a rescue boat into the pond and rescued the man.  He was not injured.
