Mid-day accident injures several

       Several people were injured earlier today following a mid-day accident at the intersection of Fairview Road and Leaning Tree Road in northwest Johnson County.  It was unclear how the accident occurred, but it appeared one vehicle was attempting to cross Fairview Road from Leaning Tree and did so in the path of an oncoming car.  Firefighters from The White River Township Fire Department had to use the Jaws of Life to extricate one of the victims, however injuries do not appear to be life-threatening.
