Fire Station 53 officially open

       The White River Township Fire Department officially opened the new Station 53 at the intersection of Mullinix Road and Smith Valley Road earlier today.  The station had been in the planning stages for the past few years and construction finally got under way last July.  The building was finished back in June and the department has been busy getting the new building ready for today's open house and dedication ceremony ever since.  The building marks the opening of the department's third fire station.  Eventually, the district plans to open a fourth and final station as the population of the area increases.
