White River wins gold at Firefighter Olympics

         White River Twp Fire Department earned a gold medal for the second time in three years at the annual Firefighter's Olympics.  The event is held each year in conjunction with the Johnson County Agricultural Fair and typically draws a larger than average crowd of spectators.  The overall event consists of several firefighting related contests such as a pumper-pull and first-water competition.  Finishing with a silver medal was the team from Greenwood Fire Department followed by Franklin Fire Department earning the Bronze.  A good time was had by all who participated as the teams look forward to next year.
