Firefighter hiring notice

       The White River Township Fire Protection District is now accepting applications for the position of career Lieutenant with the White River Township Fire Department.  Applicants must be United States Citizens, twenty-one years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalent and a valid Indiana driver’s license. Applicants must also possess current State of Indiana EMT, First Class Firefighter, and Master Tactics Certifications, or the national equivalents, as well as meet the additional specific requirements set by the District as explained in the application packet.  The District has authorized up to five new positions over the next two years. Two of these positions, including the first, will also require the applicant to possess a current Indiana Paramedic certification or its national equivalent. Application packets must be obtained in person at White River Township Fire Department Headquarters, 1086 South Runyon Road, Greenwood, from October 16, 2000 to October 28, 2000, between the hours of 8:30 a.m. and 4:3O p.m.  Applicants must bring a photo identification to obtain an application.
