Department trains SWAT medics
The White River Township Fire Department has teamed up with the Johnson County Sheriff’s Department to provide paramedics for the county’s SWAT team. Members from both agencies participated in a mock drill on Saturday to practice procedures and techniques. The day culminated with a simulated scenario involving a school shooting where high school students were used as simulated victims and then “treated” by the medics.
