Fighting fires at a higher level

       White River Township firefighters try out a new truck the department has had for a week.  The 102-foot ladder will be used in a variety of areas, including subdivisions where many new homes have steep-pitched roofs.  Until now, the department has had to rely on neighboring departments for such equipment.  Getting ready for a ride are (from left in photo below) Gary Borden, Ray Skipper, and Kevin Skipper.  (Reprinted with permission from the Daily Journal)
