Firefighter hiring notice

       The White River Twp. Fire Protection District is now accepting applications for the positions of Lieutenant & Battalion Chief with the White River Township Fire Department.  Applicants must be United States Citizens, 21 years of age, have a high school diploma or equivalent & a valid Indiana driver’s license. Applicants must also possess a current State of Indiana First Class Firefighter or NFPA Firefighter II certification & meet the additional specific requirements set by the District as explained in the application packet for each position.  The three Battalions hired will be required to be an Indiana EMT or NREMT. Two of the three Lieutenants hired will be required to be an Indiana EMT or NREMT & the third will be required to be an Indiana certified Paramedic or NREMTP.  Application packets must be obtained in person at White River Township Fire Department Headquarters, 1086. Runyon Rd.. Greenwood, from March 29. 1999 to April 16, 1999 between the hours of 8:30am & 4:30pm.  Applicants must bring a photo identification to obtain an application.
