Three injured, one seriously, in accident on State Road 37
A car accident on State Road 37 Sunday sent three people to the hospital, one via Lifeline Helicopter. Landon Fiechter, 20, Craigville, was taken by helicopter to Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis after sustaining head injuries in the crash. He is listed in stable condition. The accident occurred at 11:59 a.m. when Audrie Parker, 22, Greenfield lost control of her 1989 Pontiac Grand Am on wet pavement , due to a slight rain, said Tom Shively, Johnson County Sheriff’s Department spokesman. Parker crossed the median on State Road 37, just north of Fairview Road, and went into the path of Fiechter who was driving a red 1987 Honda Accord. She was treated and released from Community Hospital South with head and neck injuries. A passenger in Fiechter’s vehicle, Jeff Lindbloom, 19, Blufton, was taken to Methodist Hospital for leg and neck injuries. The wreck caused the road to be closed for at least 40 minutes, Shively said. (Reprinted with permission from the Daily Journal)
