Fire damages duplex

       A fire damaged one side of a duplex in Smith Valley today.  No one was injured.  White River Township firefighters extinguished the blaze at 962 Old Valley drive before it spread to the other unit.  White River Fire Chief Scott Cassin said the fire broke out shortly after 1:30 a.m. and was attributed to a stove that was left on.  Damage was estimated at $35,000.  Names of the occupants were not released.  (Reprinted with permission from the Daily Journal)
