Fire safety meetings set

       The White River Township Fire Department will be holding free public meetings on fire safety this week.  From 7 to 9 p.m. tonight, members of the fire department will speak at the clubhouse of the Friendly Village mobile home development, 4377 W. County Line Road, Greenwood.  Fire trucks and fire protection gear will be on display.  Firefighters will discuss how to use a fire extinguisher, how to escape from a burning home and other fire safety issues.  A second public meeting will take place from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Smith Valley Community Center, 5157 Old Smith Valley Road, Greenwood.  An open house will be held from 2 to 6 p.m. Saturday at the fire station, 1086 S. Runyon Rd.
