WRT rescue truck involved in accident

White River Township firefighters responded to help one of their own earlier today.  Lieutenant Damon Duncan and firefighter Brian Kiefer were responding to a medical emergency in the Friendly Village Mobile Home Community when the rescue squad in which they were riding left the roadway and struck a utility pole guy wire.  The vehicle ultimately landed in the front yard of Mark Wurtzberger in the 200 block of Peterman Road, narrowly missing the front of the house.  It was unclear at the time of the accident as to what may have caused the truck to leave the roadway.  Other emergency responders responded on to the original incident while the rest came to the aid of their fellow workers.  No one was seriously injured in the accident.  Damage to the rescue squad was extensive, but it did not appear to be totaled.
